In order to comply with Vehicle Code § 11713.1(c), the following disclosure must be included in all display advertisements which offer vehicles at specific prices and the language must be unabbreviated: “Prices do not include government fees and taxes, any finance charges, any dealer document processing charge, any electronic filing charge and any emission testing charge.” We noted that this disclosure was not shown on any of the Web pages we reviewed on the Website which quoted vehicle prices. The dealership should advise all personnel responsible for composing the firm's Internet advertisements to ensure that this disclosure is included and properly stated on each Web page which quotes vehicle prices.
